For a writer, it’s fun and intriguing to imagine your book being made into a movie. How much of the story would you incorporate? Who would play which part? How would you handle flashbacks? What would you have to cut?
Now I may be fortunate enough to see two of my books translated into films. Both The Secret Confessions of Anne Shakespeare and How (Not) to Have a Perfect Wedding are being represented by Hollywood agencies for movie rights.
Although I have no screenwriting experience, I hope to have some involvement in the process. Should either project come to pass, it will be a fascinating opportunity to learn how scripts are developed and movies made.
